Deer Hunter
The first I heard of this I thought about quake, only with deer and running through the forest gibbing the peaceful little critters. But this is not the case. A little less morbid, sporting even.
Youre goin a hunting, not for wabbits tho, deer hunting. With a shotgun, rifle, or bow. Your either perched in a tree or on the ground, in different places and seasons waiting for the perfect 15 point buck to look your way. This game is very peaceful, with birds chirping and outdoor sounds, you doing your buck calls. So it isnt for those days where you want to go on a gibfest.
People use to the first person 3d
shooting would take note that the weapon waves a little in
unperfect steady hands to add skill to the gameplay. You have
alot of choices of how to hunt, like with a cover that will
conceal you but block your veiw a little. The graphics are no big
surprise, a bit on the poor side but they dont hurt the games fun
much. After waiting, looking 360 degrees around doing some calls,
not behaving in a threatening manner, (shooting at trees for the
fun of it, making buck calls non stop) you may spt somthing
moving in the background so you pick up youre bionoculars for a
better look, or peer through youre scope if you think youre ready
to shoot. If you dont see any deer your hunter will sulk about
the cold or yawn, meaning to move to a new area. After you make a
kill you veiw it in the trophy room displayed on a plaque, above
the conditions of kill. The weapon used, area hunted from, amount
of points. Mine is filled with 13 and 15 pointers.
A really good sim if you have the patience. Watch out for the forced directx in the install.
